This Chianti Classico represents our best selection of grapes which are destined to the production of Chianti Classico. Finally it is availaible. This is a real tuscan red wine obtained from our vineyards around the Campoli area whose morphology is suitable for wines which need long ageing.
The vineyards from which it is obtained have a density of about 6000 vines per hectare. Exposure of the vineyards mainly to the South West. In all vineyards no herbicides are used. The harvest of the grapes is strictly manual. Fermentation takes place in cement or steel tanks and takes place at a low temperature. The must remains together with its skins for up to 30 days in order to obtain a wine with a very wide polyphenolic content.
After the fermention, our Chianti Classico Riserva is aged in oak barrels (capacity 2,500-3,000 litres) and french oak tonneaux (capacity 350 – 500 litres).
It is made from a blend of 5 different grapes: Sangiovese , Merlot, Colorino, Canaiolo, Malvasia Nera. Its color is a lively rubin red with an intensive fruity flavour, with mineral aromas and scents of dark chocolate and spices. It is a full bodied wine which can be aged up to 15 years, we suggest it to be drunk not before its fourth year.
Our Riserva has a contains of sulfites of 40-50 mg per litre which can be considered a natural quantity of so2, infact this is the quantity produced by the fermentation, so what we do is just to add the enough quantity to keep the initial quantity of sulfites. Unfortunately current rules don’t permit to declaire on the label the quantity of so2 and this is totally irresponsible.
This wine has received 91 points on Decanter World Wine Awards 2018.

Our Chianti Classico Riserva it is availaible in boxes of 6 bottles. On demand is possible to have also 3,oo lt magnum.
It warmly suggest to drink it after 4-5 years from the harvest. To hold until 2025
To pair with meat roast, seasoned cheeses, beef stew, pasta with meat ragout.
