Chianti Classico Riserva – 1999
This wine represents our best selection of grapes which are destined to the production of Chianti Classico. They come from our vineyards around the Campoli area whose morphology is suitable for wines which need long ageing. After 20 days of fermention, it is aged in oak barrels (capacity 2,500-3,000 litres) and french oak tonneaux (capacity 350 litres). It is made from a blend of 5 different grapes: Sangiovese , Merlot, Colorino, Canaiolo, Malvasia Nera. Its color is a lively rubin red with an intensive fruity flavour, with mineral aromas and scents of dark chocolate and spices. It is a full bodied wine which can be aged up to 10 years, we suggest it to be drunk not before its fourth year.
